Small company, big changes: our plans for the new year

This week our new MD, Pete, gave a presentation about what’s changing in the small-but-mighty world of oe:gen. And with customer transparency being a big part of our company values, we want to share the good news with you.

1. Role changes

Our Chief Technology Officer, Pete, is taking on the role of Managing Director to oversee an exciting period of growth, and David’s role is changing from CEO to CXO (Customer Experience Officer). We want to make sure we’re even more focused on helping our lovely customers during the sales, onboarding and project stages of their oe:gen journey.

What’s more, Mark is also now Head of Salesforce Development, Adam is now Senior Salesforce Developer, and Ryan is now a Salesforce Consultant! Nice one, guys.

2. Specialised services

We’re concentrating on our strengths by evolving into a company which specialises in Salesforce Communities. We’ll still be offering web design and all our other Salesforce services like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ and Pardot, but we’re hoping to become the go-to Salesforce Community experts in Europe.

3. New processes

We’re trialling our new timesheets on the Salesforce platform, figuring if we want to talk the talk, we’d better walk the walk. Keep a lookout for a blog post review on using this tool!

4. Centre of Excellence

We’re going to be offering apprenticeships, work experience, placements and internships for those wanting to build their business technology skills. So if you’re interested in a career in Salesforce configuration, development, UX design or marketing, get in touch here!

5. Women in Tech

With the aim to close the gender gap in technology, we’re planning on starting a Nottinghamshire Women in Tech user group. By doing this, we hope to create a friendly, welcoming and supportive space for women who want to explore career paths, network, share knowledge, and ultimately thrive in tech. Contact us if you want to get involved!

6. New starters

We’ve welcomed four brilliant new members to the oe:gen family; Smeeta — our new Business Solutions Architect, Janaid and Alex — our new Salesforce Admins, and Oli — our new Salesforce Admin/Developer.

So there you have it; the big changes happening in our little world. It’s all part of our growth plan for 2018. If you’ve got any questions about our services, or anything else in this update, let us know!
